About the Author:
Ian Leech grew up as a missionary kid in a remote area of India in the 1940s and 1950s. He saw people living as they did in biblical times. Houses were lit with oil lamps, water was carried to the house daily from the village well, and lepers lived in colonies. Oxen worked the threshing floors, the potter squatted at his wheel, and donkeys carried loads from place to place. Life hadn't much changed in two thousand years. He hopes that readers of his book will experience the Bible come to life, and that this volume's maps will help them visualize the region's many hills and valleys.
