PJ Sisson contracted polio at the age of four during the epidemic of ’49 and went on to lead a life with physical limitations. Despite these challenges, her life was also greatly rewarding through the raising of four children and volunteering in her community and church.
Thirty-nine years later, the late effects of polio eventually left her without a leg to stand on. The prognosis: she would never walk again. Rolls, her power wheelchair, became her constant companion.
Seven years later, a miracle changed her life. Knowing she could trust God, PJ continued on to fulfill her greatest desires, serving for thirty years in a ministry of encouragement around the world.
"Phyllis Sisson rolled into our church family one Sunday on a mission from God, unbeknownst to her, to bless and amaze. We were blessed by her great desire to serve the Lord despite being confined to a wheelchair and were amazed when the Lord chose to display His healing power in restoring her health. That special touch from the Lord would bolster her faith in the days to come when she was tested by trials."

About the Author:
After marrying her teenage sweetheart Murray, PJ Sisson raised four children with him. Prayer has been a focal part of her life in a ministry of encouragement. God has also placed in her the overwhelming desire to know the God of whom her grandmother spoke—to impact lives, to enjoy effective prayer, and to meet people wherever they live in the world. These desires have driven PJ to a fulfilling life of eighty years. God has rewarded her with seven grandchildren, providing the opportunity for her to love and pray for each one as her own grandmother did for her.
