Experiencing personal emptiness in her mid-fifties, Hazel prays for change in her life, including adventure! When she happens upon a discarded restaurant receipt one day, she wonders whether it’s a nudge from God. Or is she being silly? Unsure, she decides to dine in the same French restaurant and order the same meal.

Thus begins a year of following other receipts that come across her path for no reason other than that they add a touch of adventure to her routine.

Unwittingly, however, she embarks on a journey that will come to affect not only her life but the lives of others—one filled with fun, whimsy, and even danger. But it’s a journey for which God has long been preparing her.

"Captivating from the first page, Kim Clarke has written a story that brings awe and wonder to the normalcy of life. By seamlessly interweaving the wisdom of scripture, the narrative encourages readers to renew their devotion to prayer and hope in God. Clarke’s writing is rich with imagery and historical details that delight and invite the reader into the adventure, leaving us to pray for our own waving receipts in the snow!"
