About the Author:

Carol Louise Sakwi was born on the Peguis Indian Reserve in Manitoba, Canada. Raised in Beaconia, Manitoba, she eventually left home to work in Beausejour and then Winnipeg, where she met and married her husband, Helmut. Together they raised two children. Since 2001, they have lived in Seven Sisters Falls on an acre of land, where they enjoy the peace and quiet, campfires, and the beauty of nature.

A member of Whiteshell Baptist Church, Carol fills her time with volunteering, journaling, gardening, sewing, and cheering on the Winnipeg Jets.
