Maintaining one’s faith in Jesus Christ requires constant input from many sources, most importantly from the word of God. Also important, though, is the wisdom of others and their own journeys of faith. Every believer has a story to tell and faith-based experiences to share.

This ninety-nine-day devotional is part of my story—a collection of stories that tie into scripture and my own personal faith walk. Each day’s reading is based on life and truth, not only the truth of the Bible but also the ups and downs of daily living.

We grow in faith by gleaning from each other, and each devotional shares a part of me that I wish to pass along as you seek God with all your heart. It is my prayer that every writing in this book will be a blessing to you just as it was a blessing to me as I wrote it.

About the Author:

In his sixties, Paul Smyth considers himself to have been around the block of life more than once. He was blessed to have been raised in a Christian home, where faith in the Lord was as important to life as air and water. He began to write devotionals in his fifties, not only to better hear God’s voice but to encourage others along the way. He writes from his heart as he strives to live according to the small office wall plaque, which belonged to his father, that says, “Trust God and live one day at a time.” He loves to write and daily devotionals seem the perfect step forward as God directs his path.
